WPS Instructional Tools Policy

This document outlines the policies for requesting and using digital tools with students.

Look at the list of tools to see ones that have already been vetted. No need to submit a google form request for these tools. Simply check in with your Tech Spec to learn how to access the tool.

If the tool requires a student account, you must get parental permission first. You may do this via paper, an email home, or send parents a link to a google form. You should provide a brief introduction to the tool and the purpose for using it in your classroom.

If the tool is new to the district then you will need to submit a google form answering questions about how the tool fits into your curriculum.

The request will be seen by the Curriculum Directors and Technology Staff.  Once it has been approved the Tech Specialist will communicate with you about next steps.
